StockTax will replace your "Acct1.qif" with all the
transactions
sorted and with any changes from your editing (modify, add, delete)
Quicken File Format
The Quicken QIF files are a simple text files.
It contains only RAW trade data in a very simple, standardized format.
You can view it, if you are so inclined, you can open it in Notepad, Wordpad, MS Word,
etc.
Each transaction is listed with all its details in several lines
until the line only containing "^".
Example:

The first Letter always indicates the type of transaction detail:
D | Transaction Date |
N | Transaction type (Buy, Sell...) |
Y | Ticker Symbol |
I | Price |
Q | Quantity, number of shares |
T | Total Amount including fees |
M | Any comments with more info |
O | Commission/Fees |
^ | End oif Transaction Marker |
